ADT 2021 Home Security Review

Besides the Essentials kit, ADT monitored plans differ from level to level, each sweetening the deal with new features or equipment options.

The essential plan includes the Essentials base kit and standard landline monitoring. What is missing is the quality service plan that offers extended warranty protection and an offer on any service calls you may need during your contract. This plan also lacks the 6 month money back guarantee.

The complete monitoring package is a basic Essentials package connected to a landline more the Quality Service Plan. If you live in a rural area or want to protect a vacation home in the countryside, this is an affordable option that comes with added warranty and service protection.

The Premium Pack II is the same, but with a cellular connection. This connection offers nice advantages, such as voice control with Amazon Alexa. It also allows you to ignore the cabling provided with the fixed service. Wired systems take longer to install and can be cut or damaged by intruders.

The level I ADT command adds remote access to the mix via the ADT Control app. Remote access allows you to monitor and control your system from your phone. Whether it’s an open window or a full system alert, you’ll know it. And for an additional $ 6, you can add live video with the ADT Command Tier II.

To finish, ADT Command Tier III comes with a higher setup fee, but you’ll get smart home and automation features to make up for it. This system starts with the same equipment as the other shots – plus live video (when you add a security camera) and a lamp module to add smart lighting to your system. Turn on the light from your mobile app to make your home feel busy or to keep pets company while you are away.

If you are looking for proven home security surveillance and want professionals to take care of the installation, ADT is for you. You’ll pay more for setup and monitoring, but you won’t have to lift a finger after making the first phone call.
